Marshalls for Aquathlon number 2 (July 10th)
CALL FOR MARSHALLS FOR WHEELWORX 3DTRI AQUATHLON ON Thursday July 10th 6:30PM
As most of you know our 2008 aquathlon series continues at Bull Wall on Thursday July 10th.
We need 18 officials in various roles to assist in managing the event and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our competitors.
Officials need to be available from 6:30 or as near to that as possible. We need a number at 5:45pm to assist with set up/registration etc.
If you can help, please mail Noel McCluskey at noel.mccluskey@gmail.com
In your mail can you let me know the following:
* What time you are available from.
* Do you want to do the race?
It is important you support the club by helping out. We need 18 people in total so it is a big requirement with the expected larger numbers and womens wave.
The reputation of the club depends on your support.

I’m not saying that those who chose to go to Dunmore East or Blackrock are bad people, but Mother Nature chose to give both of those races a downpour, while Mullaghmore was an oasis of, if not quite sunshine, at least dryness! Read into that what you want..

Dunmore East. Picturesque. Great place to do your first triathlon with a sea swim. In the calm waters of the bay, according to the Waterford triathlon website. With a loving wife who was promised ‘weekends away’ during the summer, Dunmore East seemed perfect.

The organisers of the Midlands Aquathon at Lough Ennell on Wednesday evening were very pleased to see 3D club members out in force to compete in their event, with the club receiving a special mention of thanks at the prize giving. Four club athletes headed down to compete – David Cahill, Alan Kenny, Paul Curran and myself.

I was thinking that I wouldn’t get any training done at the weekend as we would
be in Belfast overnight and I had been in the UK since Wednesday and would be
there again all next week. So, Jack had a brainwave and suggested that I do it. So I mumbled yes and 30 seconds later I was entered online. I always have nagging doubts after
entering and the old nerves start, but I was committed or should be!
