We're running our 5th annual "Introduction to Triathlon/3DTri" evening next Wednesday 1/Feb at the Halfway House at 7:30pm. It'll be a short talk on triathlon and a Q&A session along with some tea and cakes. All are welcome whether your thinking about doing a triathlon, thinking about joining the club or joined the club recently and want to know a bit more.
If your coming along if you can send us an email (3dtriathlon at gmail dot com) that would be good (so we have an idea of numbers) but it's not required.

Cycle this Sunday will leave from the Papal Cross at 9:30am with two options. Shorter option is ~55km. Longer option is about 70-80 (but I reserve the right to misjudge the distance).
If your a guest trying out the session you'll need to be there a few minutes early to sign on. Intend departure will be prompt.

Calling all beginners...
The 2012 beginner club races are as follows:
TriLaoise, Fingal Tri and TriAthy.
Tri Laosie is already open for entries and its a pool based triathlon. The club committee has decided this year that beginners can enter the Fingal Tri. It must be your first ever triathlon. Triathy is a popular race and we have chosen the triathy sprint.
We hope to have some coaches/mentors at each race and hopefully some support too. We will be on hand to assist all beginners in perparation and transition set-up.

Hi Folks,
While many of you have your minds firmly set on the Courtown weekend there is another slightly less famous feast of cycling taking place in March known as the Tour Tailteann. With its name borrowed from the Tailteann Games, an ancient sporting event held in Ireland in honour of the goddess Tailtiu, expect nothing less than epic feats of athletic prowess.
